New Nursery and Guest Room!

So, as mentioned, we created our nursery this weekend!  I am not going to lie, as much as I hated moving big heavy furniture from the guest room and my 'girly' room, I loved redecorating!  Lucky for me, I tend to stick to neutral colors in my home's color palette (minus the peacock lounge.  YES, you heard me, we have a peacock lounge).  This attraction to beiges and greens works wonders when switching around rooms and decor!  I willlll say the guest room is a tad bit on the girly side, since I am going to keep my vanity and gold accented chotchkies  (Thanks, Pop Pop for giving me a name for all my lil candles and decorations that sprinkle my shelves!).  But overall, it is a sweet guestroom, with drawers and a nice desk for visitors to sit at if need be!  OK, just don't mind the perfumes displayed on the crystal and gold cupcake stand. Good timing, too, because my cousin is coming to visit before he goes on his 7 month hiatus around the US and my papa bear is staying with us for two weeks in April!  Hubs said Dad may like it so much he moves in...then I pointed to all my frilly decor and he took it back. 

The nursery is looking pretty chic!  I got a great deal on a 20 buck dresser that looks fantastic, and am going to change out the knobs because, that is what creative people do, right?!  Nothing can be cookie cutter, God forbid!  As if I don't have enough stress and things to check off, I add changing perfectly good knobs out on the to do list :)  I had this fun pillow I got off of Etsy that was a light green with gold polka dots on it and it just didn't fit in with the guest room, but BOOM, put it onto the glider my sweet friend passed along and it jazzed that nursery up even more.  I have a bucket load of baskets around the house, because gathering like objects in one cozy basket is the thing to do, juts ask Pinterest!  So I switched some out to chocolate brown baskets to keep the color palette lookin fly.  Added some re-purposed green chotchkies again and it is all coming together!  My mom says she is buying us a white crib she saw, so when that arrives we will be pretty much done as far as furniture goes!  Next stop, blackout curtains!  I will be needing some of THOSE myself!
